KIDS HELPING KIDS ALL OVER THE WORLD!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone for your support on Purple Cake Day.

Pohutukawa Syndicate made over $700 from their cake stall : thank you for your amazing contributions.

Nelson Central School raised over $1300 to help support children all over the world.

This will go to help children less fortunate than us to enjoy an education!

HOCKEY SKILLS

On Tuesday we went to Hockey Skills. Darren from Small Sticks Hockey NZ taught us how to play hockey. We learned how to do the Hockey Haka, dribble the ball and stop the ball. We played 'Creep up Jack' and 'Cats and Mice'. Learning Hockey Skills was fun!

Skip counting fun

In maths we are practicing our skip counting. We are learning to skip count, do repeated addition and some of us are learning our times tables.
To do our times tables we need to be able to skip count so here is a fun song to help us!

Music with Kerstin

Kerstin has been teaching us a special song in German - "Cuckoo". We have been learning to sing in German and to play the recorder!

Global Day of Action - FRIDAY 18TH MARCH

We will be exploring the theme - Education is a Human Right (UnCroc Article 28)

Nelson Central School will be fundraising for Purple Cake day on Friday 18th March.

Pohutukawa Syndicate will be holding a cake stall on the day to raise money.

We would greatly appreciate any baking - biscuits, cupcakes, slices etc. Please label if gluten/dairy/nut free. These can be dropped off to classrooms on Friday 18th March.
